Review: Vanish

To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will’s memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone.

Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family’s. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride’s heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love?

In bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever.

Vanish is the sequel to Firelight and let me tell you, I love this series! I just want to read it over and over again and I can't wait for the 3rd book!

Sophie Jordan does a great job of making it hard which guy to root for! Usually, I'm all about one guy and want to see him with the protagonist. But with this series, I want both! Will and Cassian are both so intriguing and layered. And so different.

I love how in this sequel we get to see old characters maturing and growing and deepening along with meeting several new ones that are equally well written.

The plot and pacing of this book was terrific too. I wanted to read to the end to find out what happened but at the same time I didn't want it to end! You'd think that regular life back with the pride might be a bit boring, but I promise you it's not. There are so many different reasons that this book kept me turning the page and staying up late at night. I won't give spoilers but I will say, pick this series up if you haven't already!
